Debunking 3 Common Media Lies Against Donald Trump

Other Places To Listen:

The Media tells many lies about what Trump has or hasn’t said. They have been lying for so long that they believe their lies. Here are the top 3 lies that the media tells on a daily basis.

Trump Didn’t Say All Mexicans Were Rapists.

What he said while announcing his candidacy is that illegal immigrants from Mexico are “bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

Trump has made it clear he was not saying all Mexicans are criminals or that all illegal aliens are criminals, but the media have continued to charge that he branded Mexican immigrants as rapists. He has also said he “loves” the Mexican people, but was referring to the Mexican government.

No Trump Didn’t Glorify Nazis in Charlottesville Speech

During a press conference Tuesday President Trump once again commented on the violence in Charlottesville. Naturally, his remarks were instantly mischaracterized to portray Trump as condoning the very neo-Nazis and white supremacists he condemned in a brief speech Monday.

In no time, the political media set began virtue-signaling based on inaccurate summations of what Trump said. Heaven forbid media actually listen to or watch the words on which they comment.

This rush to blame without proper knowledge has become a common occurrence thanks to summaries like this one. Apparently, taking two minutes to watch the included video is too arduous a task:

Here is what Trump actually said: “You had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people—on both sides—you had people in that group—excuse me. Excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue, and the re-naming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name.”

Amazingly, everyone rushing to denounce Trump for his remarks they didn’t read or hear missed the whole part where Trump said, “the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists…should be condemned totally.”

“You’re changing history. You’re changing the culture, and you had people—and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists, OK? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly.”

No Trump Didn’t Ban All Muslims in the Travel Ban

Trump signed what has proved to be an extremely controversial executive order that temporarily bans visas and entry to the United States for individuals from seven predominately Muslim countries that are vulnerable to terrorism. The countries, which include Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen, had previously been identified by the Obama administration as countries whose citizens deserved closer scrutiny and a stronger vetting process before being granted a visa and entry into the United States.

The hostile mass media and leftist agitators were quick to denounce Trump’s rational and commonsense executive order as a blanket “Muslim ban,” stirring up echoes of racism, and oppression. Protests were organized across the country at numerous major airports, while political leaders of both parties as well as some government bureaucrats and officials voiced their opposition and attempted to set up roadblocks to implementing and complying with Trump’s executive order.
